I've reviewed Paranormalcy some time back. You can read it here. This is by far my favourite YA urban fantasy series.
Supernaturally (Paranormalcy #2)
by Kiersten White
Hardcover, US Edition
336 pages
Published July 26th 2011 by HarperTeen
Summary:
Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.
But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself. So much for normal.
Thoughts:
I love Evie although she seems a bit mopey this time because her boyfriend; Lend is away on college. The introduction of a new character made me nervous. I thought Jack was going to be this new love interest but he's way to hyper and weird for Evie to be attracted to.
We get to know more of Evie's background and where she's from. Maybe a little slow compared to the Paranormalcy but still quite enjoyable.
Verdict: 4 stars!
I just can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. Feast your eyes on the cover. It's bleeping beautiful! Expected publication July 24th 2012. What? We have to wait more than six months for it? God help me.
Maybe I can beg to Miss Kiersten for an ARC copy of this. It'll be like a donation to a third world country. Em..is Malaysia a third-world country? Let me check. Yep..I'm that desperate.
I really want to read this books. They sound great. Thanks
