cuti-cuti malaysia...bersama haikal

Looking at Mak Andak's blog make me yearn to go to some exotic overseas location. I love going on for holidays..who wouldn't? Hearing stories from other people about their vacation are nice but actually going there are even better. My brother went to London and Paris just recently. My friends went to Bandung, Beijing, Korea, Japan, Turkey, US and Vietnam this year.

Ooooh I haven't been to overseas for the longest time and it makes me kind of sad. Eventhough I just renew my passport with my dad early this year but really...show me the money! So with sadness, envy and whole lot of free time..I checked my digital camera for old vacation photos. Some of them are years ago but all of it feature a very distinct character. Yep..my lil tyke who's actually harassing me as I type this entry. He's in ALL the pic. Just look.

At Aquaria KLCC. Not yet 1 year. Still a balding baby, hehehe..

Boat ride in Mines. Look at that scared face. Hanging on for dear life.

Celebrating Chinese New Year 2010. Now he's so not scared of water anymore. Eh anak Cina mana ni? Huhu..

In Genting for boring work stuff. Ah..at that time he's not good in taking pictures.

In KK at Hotel Promenade. See any resemblance?

In Penang last year for kenduri and some R & R. This year at Zoo Melaka - Chinese New Year with the in laws..yikes!

So there you have it all local holidays. Cuti-cuti Malaysia..mah!

it all ends here...bye bye harry potter

It all started with a children's book entitled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I would not even gave it a second glance had not my English teacher sister highly recommend it. At that time, I was..em..are you sure? Aren't we too old to read this kind of stuff? Both of us adored Enid Blyton books when we were young but at the time Harry Potter was published, I was in the university and my sister is already working.

But, I always trust my sister's judgment of books since we were young and decided to give it a try. And truth to be told, she was right! It was amazing! The whole series is incredible! Although it went darker and darker it's still the most brilliant book series I have ever come across. I don't even give a damn when my friends made fun of me for reading it. Even my ex-bf in the university (well one of my exes) laughed at me when I was all over it at a bookstore during one of our dates. And suffice to say, probably that's why I dump him. I really hated it when a guy makes fun of my love/obsession/addiction to books. Sheesh...get a life will you?

While watching the last Harry Potter movie, I literally had tears in my eyes. It just so sad to be saying goodbyes to these characters that I've grown to like for the past what? 10 years? There will be other books but I must say the Potter series has a dear place in my heart.
